About Jumeirah Music Centre
Jumeirah Music Centre (JMC) opened in Jumaira Plaza, Dubai in April 2004. The centre is the result of the growing number of children enrolled in music and movement classes since year 2000.
JMC is owned by Marian Nelson. Marian has over 14 years of music teaching experience and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Music Practitioner Studies from University of Western Australia, a Bachelor of Music degree from University of the Philippines, a Licentiate Diploma in Music Education from London Trinity College, a Licentiate Diploma in Vocal Performing from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, and at present finishing her degree in Master's of Music in Vocal Performance at the University of Western Australia.
Alongside Marian is a team of highly qualified teachers who all hold bachelor degrees in music education and/or instruments.
At present, Jumeirah Music Centre has about three hundred (300) students taking either piano, singing, flute, guitar, drums, trumpet and saxophone lessons or music and movement classes. Jumeirah Music Centre is working towards promoting quality music education to children and adults, encouraging parents and children to experience the joy of music together.
